If you are upgrading WIM from version 1.x to version 2.x, you must follow the following steps:

• 1. Shutdown World of Warcraft.
  • Why? Due to significant file changes, in order for WoW to take note of these changes is to restart the game.
  • What if I don't? If you simply reload your UI and do not restart the game, you will get a lot of errors. I'll just leave it at that.

• 2. Go to your "{Path of World of Warcraft}/Interface/Addons" and delete the folder "WIM".
  • Why? Again, because the files have changed so much, in order to keep things clean, you must delete the directory.

• 3. Download and Extract WIM to your "{Path of World of Warcraft}/Interface/Addons" directory. You will now have two new folders:
  • WIM - the core WIM folder
  • WIM_Options - the load on demand WIM_Options addon. This was added to reduce system resources required by WIM.

• 4. Load World of Warcraft and have fun.
