[DevTeam] [lothaer]: Zeke, Maziel, Pazza, Nachonut, sylvanaar, Kaidenn, Astaldo where are you?
[DevTeam] [lothaer]: It would be a real shame if WIM was left to die.
[DevTeam] [lothaer]: i think these forums are dead, Sylvanaar dosnt post on them as he only bug fixes when possible. WIMs future isnt very bright
[Guest] [justgiz]: Yea, its rather sad.
[Guest] [silvercola]: I wish it had skype
[DevTeam] [lothaer]: noy possible for a addon to do.
[DevTeam] [lothaer]: ...........

[Guest] [Hentaya]: All the wiki links seem to bring me to the forums.
[Guest] [menace97]: the latest wim (3.5.9) i download still reads in-game as 3.4.2. ?
[Guest] [Hentaya]: Good thing the shoutbox doesn't have timestamps.
[Guest] [ravensong]: Is WIM going to be updated for the new patch? It gets a LUA error every time people log on bnet or pst me, because "
[Guest] [ravensong]: "surname" is now a nil value.
[Guest] [Dethedrus]: Since WiM is obviously quite dead, is there ANYTHING else out there that even comes close to replicating it's functionality?
[Guest] [Harshmage]: So the "surname" can be removed from the realID detection, in WIM.lua
[Guest] [Harshmage]: but fixing the tutorial popup and other errors is probably not going to happen without a major rework
[Guest] [menace97]: quite dead?
[Guest] [Nytetears]: I am trying out tell track I wish WIM would update I much prefer it but there are too many errors to try and use it now
[Guest] [Erudan]: Wim is being updated on Curse.
[Guest] [Chiaki]: Hello guys! I'm the one who did the German translation of WIM. The translation is somewhat old so tell me where to provide a new version .
[DevTeam] [lothaer]: Check out my new post in the General Discussion. Please report any errors as I can't check them myself.
lothaer pokes Pazza. Hey!
lothaer is overcome with boredom. Oh the drudgery!
lothaer roars with bestial vigor. So fierce!
lothaer cries.
lothaer falls asleep. Zzzzzzz.
lothaer , in quiet contemplation, mourns the loss of the dead.
lothaer tells a joke.
lothaer yawns sleepily.

Hello creator of WIM (don't know if I should call you Pazza or xTwoStepx Wink )

I'm the author of ATSW - one of the addons you added code to accommodate for its non-compatibility to WIM in the past. It was pretty funny: at roughly the same time as you added that code, I added code to ATSW to explicitly support WIM. The result was that WIM users were double-posting reagent lists all the time Wink so I limited my WIM support to only be enabled if a version of WIM without hooks into ATSW was used.

A few minutes ago I released a new version of ATSW with a few small changes for patch 2.1. One of those changes included support for the new special Blizzard recipe links. Because I had to change the pieces of code you override with WIM to do this, I had to add code to remove your hooks and replace them with my newer functions which do already have full WIM support. So our two addons have a funny relationship now: first WIM is hooking into ATSW functions, then ATSW is removing those hooks again Grin. It works, but it boils down to two pieces of rather useless code in both our addons.

So I'd suggest the following: You can remove the hooks into ATSW from your future releases, and I remove my anti-hook-code. Would be beneficial to both our addons if we could get rid of that pieces of code that "combat" each other to reduce the overall code size (and you wouldn't have to bother with ATSW compatibility in the future, which should be entirely my problem).

Oh, and another thing: After I installed WIM just to implement compatibility in ATSW, I became a regular user of it in no time Smiley Very good and useful addon, thanks for creating and maintaining it!

Thanks for contacting me. I will definately remove those snippets. It's hard to keep track of whats done and not done already. Thanks for adding support for it. I too use ASTW and I find if very useful. Since the 2.1 I have half of my addons disabled. I will download your update as well.

I will remove WIM's hook functions for the next update. I haven't decided on a date yet. I want to make sure some new things I added are working as intended first.

Thanks again.

Pazza

PS: Call me whichever. :-) Pazza is my in game handle. Since it was taken on UI, i had to use a different name. So let it be Pazza, TwoStep or simply John. lol
