I have officer chat enabled i dont have suppress chat checked but for some reason it wont come up in a window. Ive tried reloading and redownloading and it still wont work im not getting any error reports and it shows up in regular chat but idk what to do.

Edit: ive tried other chats and they arent working either it seems. I also run prat if that might be a problem

Also i have NUI if that makes any difference either.

Another thing i noticed in whispers sometimes after someone makes a smiley it somtimes messes up the rest of the sentence like smushing everything together.

Do me a quick favor since this happens all the time with you.

Disable both prat and Nui (there was an issue with NUI a while back but i was told it was fixed)

Now that you have just wim enabled, tell me if you get these problems, if no  problems enable prat and check again.  Now that you still have no problems enable NUI and get back to us about your results.

Welcome to testing a mod that gave you an issue due to a conflict.  God speed young wimling.

Turned them both off and it still wouldnt work. I have alot of other addons but idk if they conflict with them

There's only one way to find out, and you're going to hate me for mentioning it. The only way to know if an addon is conflicting with WIM is to single it out, and the best way to do that is to disable them one-by-one until you've isolated the problem. If you're like me and have 100+ addons, then I recommend disabling them in small groups, perhaps alphabetically or something.

Ok i turned off every addon and im still having this problem. Unless somehow i have the options set up wrong idk whats wrong. I go into WIM options, click on Chat, go to Officer, click Enable and Show Minimap Alerts. Is there anything im missing?

I just want to double check something. Are you saying the window doesn't pop up when you receive a message in officer chat? or are you saying it does not handle officer chat messages at all?

If it isn't popping up, you need to refer to the window behavior options in the chat section. by default the chat windows are set not to popup at all. Check the options in there. and remember there are options to react differently during different events.
