view today's whispers ~ search by time?

There's an issue I've been having for a while. I  happen to be AFKing quite a bit and most of the  time I don't log off WoW when I do. Incidently, some people may whisper me while I'm gone and when I'm back,  I log back in, and the  whispers are like... lost because I don't have a way (or at least I don't think so?) to see who whispered me "last".

I've found a few topics that I thought would be relevant,

but they were not

I suppose the search could allow the use of some kind of specific expressions, such as date:03/09/2009, and not only raw text that was whispered to/from me. It is possible that this is already an available feature but I haven't found any informations regarding how to use it, if such is the case, so I'm assuming it's not available.
So I hope I made the problem clear enough; so basically the issue is : how to be notified by whispers that occured while I was AFK long enough to get disconnected and thus, not being able to see them.

I don't see how you could detect them, because there's no apparent way to determine  whether a message was read or not, because you may not always reply to  your whispers anyway, but you could still be reading them, that's why I'm suggesting to extend the search interface, if that makes  sense ;P

Ok i've been over this in my head and I can't really remember if I talked to Pazza about it or not.  Or if it's been mentioned, and my search feature on my end is broken (cuz i don't want to use it).

The ONLY way I could see this being feasible or actually a viable feature.

If you go AFK, when you UNAFK and all whispers that came while AFK pop up.... or an alert window pops up saying so and so whispered you, then we can manually go to our WIM HISTORY and look for it.

The same would go for when you log back on from being afk.....  Eh, it's the only thing I could think of and have thought of...

My 2 cents. And that'll be the last time I touch this subject.

the thing is, if i go AFK and i'm back before i'm logged out by the server, i have all the WIM windows up so i can see all the whispers, if there were any at all. The problem is really when you get logged out; because when u get back on, the WIM windows obviously do not pop up.
