Seems the goldsellers have a new tactic to avoid our spam filters, they create Level 55 Death Knights!

I've had them spamming me everyday for the last week and it's getting annoying becuase i can't figure a way to block them. As it is i can use WIM to block level, but i dont want to block levels 1-55 of all classes :p

I was wondering if it's at all possible to add an option that you can simply turn on/off to enable you to choose if you want to block level 55 Death Knights from sending your messages?

Yeah impresive indeed   They seem to be everywhere at the moment, i've even noticed alot of spamming from sellers and hackers on authors forums on Curse.com lately.

Not really, i just can't believe they use it. I think they have it for the filters becuase i got so annoyed with them one morning i tried to reply to them (you know with a few swear words and that) but i couldn't.

I know if I was planning to send out a lot of whispers within WoW, I'd certainly try to use something such as WIM.

To stay on topic, I've never really messed around with the filter options in WIM, so I don't really know what's possible with them. I know they can filter out whipers based on key words (such as those used in some addons), and there was, a long time ago, a way to filter whispers from people below a certain level, unless they were on a friends list or something, but I don't know if they still exist.

Level filter is there from what I remember.. I remember testing it one day a while ago.  As for ignoring everybody under lvl 56... yea don't know about that one.

yep level filter is still there, i currently have it set to block anyone under level 2 (i.e. level 1 goldsellers). Not sure how far up you can scale the filter but i wouldnt want to block everyone under level 56 just to block 55 goldsellers though. Which is why i wondered if a future option could be to block 55 deathnights only meaning that any other level/class would still be able to chat with us whatever their level, even if they were 55 (just not deathknights). But of course still have the origianl level filter too so we can still block those level 1's or whatever level we choose

On a side note.. Blizzard should be doing more to combat this. I mean to create a deathknight dont you have to own a level 80 on the account anyway first.. surely these arn't trial accounts and should be easier to ban. I would guess their probally stolen accounts. Saying that Blizzard are slow, i once reported a stolen account, a guild member had his account stolen and the hacker was using it for botting primals.. took them 2 weeks before they de-activated it despite me spamming GM's about it and i bet i was'nt the only one who reported it either :s
