Tabbed Wim with Systemchatmessages

Hi Pazza,

I use wim in tabbed mode. All tabs in one window. I shift-drag all windows to one. Thanks again for that hint.

It would be nice to have the systemchatmessages like "xxx is now online/offline" in some tiny lines (perhaps two or three) under the wim-messagearea. All systemchatmessages should go there. These lines should be readable whatever tab is selected.

I hope you understand what i hope to get. It's only a first idea on how to manage the remaining messages in the main chatwindow which i would like to disable. The sooner, the better.


I would like to thank you for that great addon. I wouldn't want to play WoW without it.

Was looking thru to see if my idea was in here and found this post... I like this idea alot and also wanted to add, shift-dragging the window on every login is do-able, but would love to have an option for whispers and chat to atumatically launch into same tabgroup. no set of options seems to be able to achieve this for me. I'm mildly amused actually, considering there is only one set window spawn option my whispers automatically hide under the chat window until i set focus from the minimap icon and then drag them into submission. Great work overall!

Um, there is an auto-group option for the tabs. The only instance where this isn't implemented when checked is for different types of chat.

whispers
party/raid/guild
so on and so forth.


If you're talking about just whispers, then you don't have the correct option selected. All you have selected is tabs.  Double check your options and look for something that says grouping or auto-group or something like that. I'm SURE it's in tab management somewhere.

LOL no I'm tlaking about having system/channel/whispers all go to same tab group, which is only achievable currently manually. Hence why I find it funny there is only one set window spawn, if each type is maintained seperatly in the coding then why cant i set my whisper box to spawn away from my chat box? Understand what I mean?
