[Rejected] standalone location addon

Hello !

I would like a standalone addon who can send/receive coords which are used by WIM...
I know people who doesn't want install WIM but sharing their coords would be greatly usefull.
especially when I want to help newbies friends:
"can you help me? I'm in Terrokar!"
"... where?"
"terrokar!"

That's the best you'll find, and it only works with guild mates. Or did you mean something that will send the coordinates to WIM if the other person isn't using it? Ugh... so tired....

yep, something like this GPS but not guild exclusive (this point is very important).

or exactly what you said in second proposition !

example:
user1 ---> send coord to user2

user1 has only the little standalone location addon, whereas user2 has WIM
user2 can see where user1 is (the contrary doesn't matter)

maybe i can add support for GPS. I'm not writing a second addon though just for coordinates.

if so, could I do that (I've very basic LUA knowledge...)

Basically it is part of the "W2W Protocol". I call it a protocol because it is a way which WIM talks to itself.. Unless WIM is detected, the information won't be shared. So that is a bust. If anything I could throw in support for another addon such as GPS which might be able to piggy back on and display this data.
