[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: lol i got you
[DevTeam] [Astaldo]: How about "hide email address from public checked" and it's still visible in all my posts...
[DevTeam] [Astaldo]: I'd delete my account on this site, but by the time I realized the problem half the spambots on the planet had it already
[Developer] [Pazza]: Astaldo if you log out and view your profile with a refresh you'll see that your email is hidden.
[Developer] [Pazza]: Your user level on the forums permit you to see emails even though they are marked hidden.
[DevTeam] [Astaldo]: Ah.. thanks for the clarification and apologies for "crying wolf" in that case :
[DevTeam] [Kaidenn]: PAZZA! i miss you.
[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: Lol, it's funny how it takes spam message reports to get me to come back
[DevTeam] [sylvanaar]: Check out the beta tester forum. Need alpha testers and feedback so I can come up with a maintenance plan.
[Developer] [Pazza]: loaded some new spam prevention modules... lets see if this stops the bastards.
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: Thought I'd check in and say Howdy Doody from Australia
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: Yeah the spam from shoes salesmen was becoming insane
[Guest] [Delakando]: What ever happened to the ability to track friend's location by wim? Other then just showing their general zone location.
Zeke pokes his head around the corner.
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: Anybody home?

Hi!
Let me first say that I want to thank you for this mod. I have contributed in the past, and for the most part, I have my entire guild using it. We appreciate all of the work that you have put into it.

That having been said...put it back the old way!  Grin

I am a GM of about 350+ and I can assure you, this new update is much more difficult. I have yet to hear one guild member say that they like it better. The new close fly-out is kinda cool, put I don't have time to Shift-click all of my windows to make them tab. When they spawn all on top of each other...ACK!

I am finding myself spending more time managing this mod now, then trying to do anything else that is new in the game. from reading some of the other posts in some of the other forums regarding this, I feel as we are not alone.

We can deal with the errors and bugs as such, but the former configuration was so much more user friendly, unless of course, we are all idiots and don't get it...

Thanks!

The current release is merely a public beta for general use until the finished version is released. Many people have already asked about the tabs, and Pazza has said, these features are coming, WIM v2 was nowhere near compatible with WoW 3.0, which is why WIM 3 was released early - so that everyone has something to use in the interim. so please just be patient :-)

I notice some very bad screen freezes with WIM 3.0.2 beta.

When I create tabs by shift+dragging one window on top of another, I notice terrible screen freezes when switching from one tab to another. Will that be automaticall gone if the final implementation of tabs is there you think?
Also often when a whisper from a new player is incoming (new = no active conversation yet) it is preceeded by a freeze of about 2s, and then two times the initial msg... which, I guess, is already an improvement compared to the endless repeating Wink

One time the whole screen froze and stayed that way until I killed the WoW process; however, I cannot tell for sure what addon to blame for that Wink

A few people have reported the freezing. I am trying to figure out the cause of it. atm, I'm a little stuck. A solution will be found I'm sure.

Not sure if this is the best place to keep posting, but I did because I've reported the freeze problem here.

It seems that the freeze is related to the creation of the frame. If I choose not to popup the window (eg. during combat) it just plays the incoming whisper sound without any freeze. Perhaps the new skinning engine takes a bit too much processing when creating/drawing the frame?

Just wondering, does everone experience the freezes? Or could we pinpoint it to some specific conditions?

Well here's the thing with that... Even though the window isn't popping, it is still being created and drawn.. so it might be something else.. The good thing is you've given me a good place to look. Thanks.
