would it be possible to have player portraits (3D if possible) of the person you are talking to appear in the top right of the WIM window but only if the other person is using WIM aswell?

I know any other addon I've used with 3D portraits doesn't render properly unless you're close to the person. I think it's something to do with gathering their gear or something. It may be a lot of data to try and send via addon messages. However, I don't think it would be impossible to do something like the WoW forum avatars...

I don't know much about the 3d model object but I believe you call up models in terms of units. For example player, target, focus, party1..4 raid1..40 etc...

Therefore I don't think it would be posible. Can't say I am positive though.
