I've noticed that while talking to people and with the handy feature of having your history saved that some forget what they said. If only I could copy paste an example sentence of what someone had previously said this would be alot easier than typing out the whole thing. I've accomplished this so far by going to your excellent raw text feature for history but would it be possible select and drag over to highlight what you want copied then hit CTRL+C to copy that selected text within the basic WIM window?

This would make it alot easier to get back to people with previous information.
And if possible an extra window where it uses to history feature but a window like a tiny notepad only?

The way it works now no and would most likely break the skinning engine which  spent a lot of time on. For the amount of times it is used, I suggest sticking with the history viewer method. The raw text can be copied and then pasted into the WIM window manually.

You NEED to be able to copy-paste off of the message window.  There's alot more than just reminding others what they said earlier that you need to be able to copy-paste directly from the main window, such as Vent info, character names, guild names, etc.

Not sure how difficult it would be Pazza but how about something like the way url's work with Prat? Click or shift+click a line maybe and it opens a little window with that line of text highlighted. Though that could break the url function...

well i need to consider two things.. one. need to map message with history entry. for those convos not being logged, I need to link it elsewhere in a non saved table. This would be the best way as to not waste memory in game. The copy would be initiated by right clicking the player's name. Ideally, this could be added by an independent addon. Maybe this way, people wouldn't yell at me when their WIM takes up more memory.

Again, the way I am designing WIM 3.0 is by making features modular and allowing you to turn them off as to save memory. (for the complainers that is). This way I can add new features that people want and at the same time apease the people who say that WIM is too bloated.

Modular features sounds like a plus.  I can't say I really care about a little extra memory usage on my new comp, but those who need to strip down for performance should be able to do so.  I'll be trying out Cellular for now though
