Okay, so here is my first WIM skin so far. I am trying to get a nice clean design that is also less obtrusive than the default.

100% Transparency (which I guess would technically be 0% since it is opaque Wink) As you can see, I have already made part of the skin transparent.

I am not sure I like the header as it doesn't look as crisp as I would like at first glance.

Little update...think I am getting close to being done. But I may make a lighter version as an alternative skin.



I have made custom w2w and hist icons, as well as make the header less transparent to give more of a clouded glass look. This screen is taken with the skin at full Trans. Would love to be able to change the shortcut icons too, but oh well Smiley.

theres no way to change the shrotcut icons unfortunately, but i think it looks fairly decent already

first off, i would like to say that i made an account on this website simply so that i could post a reply on this thread. Tonedef, you have made an absolutely beautiful skin, and i cannot wait until it is finished, and released.

i woke up this morning and decided (as i often do >.<) that my UI simply wasn't complete. i knew exactly what i wanted, and that was a new 'skin' for WIM. i have been using WIM for a little over a year now, and i swear by it, it is an amazing mod. but the lack of available skins was always something that bothered me. so when i came to this site and seen that others wished to see more customization with this mods, i was very happy to say the least.

long story short, i have bookmarked this particular thread, and i will be eagerly awaiting the release of your skin. please keep up the amazing work, and please, don't give up on it without giving us something! >.<

I don't think anyone is really futzing with skins for WIM anymore since the skinning engine is a bit bulky and hard to play with.  Hopefully someday we'll see something come out of this, but I am growing more and more doubtful as the months drag by =(
