I know you asked us to hold off until the documentation was done...but it has been over a month and I have very, very little coding know-how.

So I was wondering how I would go about setting up the class icons as individual file instead of one big one. I really don't get the whole texture coords thing and I just want to have each image sit in its spot as individual icons.

not sure if its actually possible to do that with the api, but the texture coords are simple enough

druid = {.75, 0, .75, .25, 1, 0, 1, .25};
means that the druid icon is in the class icon texture and has its topleft at 75% accross, 0% down,
bottomleft at 75% accross 25% down
topright at 100% across 0% down
bottom right 100% across 25% down


so in a grid of 4x4 'blocks' its in block 4

Standard rules apply to the class icon image, width and height needs to be a power of 2, transparencies done in an alpha channel not transparent background

Okay...so I did as you said and everything worked wonders for the top row. (in a setup like you used 4x4)

After that the icons fit like they should...but are not the right ones.

For example (using your block above) #7 is mage, so I have {.5, .25, .5, .5, .75, .25, .75, .5} but it is displaying the hunter icon which is #6.

And the hunter is showing rogue (#5) and rogue is showing Shaman (#4)

...and the really odd thing is that warrior (#9) is showing the bottom right half of mage (#7) [split diagonal]. My warrior coords are {0, 5, 0, .75, .25, .5, .25, .75}.


I hope this makes sense...I understand that they are all linking one back, aside from the odd warrior one...but the coords should be right.


Edit: Ah, I am a retard. I forgot to update my .tga after rearranging and as for the warrior bit...I forgot a decimal. lol

its easy to make mistakes, i managed to write out my window coordinates so the height added up to 0.8 the first try by mistake. Glad you got it sorted out
