[Guest] [jira]: Greetings,
[Guest] [jira]: why does wim send wim-addonmessage-pings in masses to people that dont have wim? it should notice that they wont answer
[Guest] [jira]: and the locationupdates evry few seconds are useless when you are in a raidinstance because you have no coordinates in there
[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: You can go ahead and make a post with your questions if you want, we tend to keep the shout box focused on pazza's mom, ty
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: Who, btw, is extremely flexible...
Pazza doesn't know what to say or do except to shake his head in disapproval...
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: So........ How's the weather?
[DevTeam] [stewart]: sunny sunny here in cornwall, note so self: apply suncream before driving tractor around field all day
[Developer] [Pazza]: sounds like the makings of a scottish redkneck stew
Jim-Bim slaps Pazza across the face. Ouch!
Jim-Bim rapidly answers: Wasn't me!
[DevTeam] [stewart]: neck not quite, head and arms rather severely >.<, still dragging a large flail mower around a field is kinda fun :-)
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: [stewart]: "...apply sunscream...." is that like ice-scream?
[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: and on a side note, ads by google are being really non warcraft lately....
[Guest] [Palladia]: reply
[Guest] [Palladia]: oops
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: There's ads? I recommend Adblock Plus, an addon for Firefox.
[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: O.o, i'll just make believe you didn't say that zeke.....
Nachonut bonks Zeke on the noggin. Doh!
Zeke cowers in fear at the sight of Nachonut.
[Guest] [Opt]: Where can I find skins! I've been hitting random page for awhile lol...
[Developer] [Pazza]: i never got around to ifnishing the skin section of the site. you can browse the kin discussion forum for some shares people made
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: I see you Pazza!
[DevTeam] [Zeke]: Fine, don't say "Hi"... Good night....
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: Hi Pazza. Sorry I ain't been around. Many RL things have popped up and have totally lost interest in WoW. =(
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: WIM is a sound add-on though. And if you need any skins tweaked or whatever (from anything I sent) shoot me an email and I'll get em done for you. =)
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: I just can't test them in game no more.
[Developer] [Pazza]: Be sure to keep in touch Maz. You were a lot of help and a good friend.
[Developer] [Pazza]: I hope all is well
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: Still Alive Paz =) Still can brain storm via email if needed or do graphics up for you fairly fast if you ever need them.
[Guest] [Tonedef]: Finally put out a DL for my glass skin :)
[Guest] [Duke]: hi all
[Guest] [Duke]: i have a pb to install that superbe glass skin :(
[Guest] [Tonedef]: Should be good to go now
[Guest] [Duke]: no :(
[Guest] [Duke]: ok it's fine now, thx a lot :)
Pazza thanks Duke.
Zeke bursts into dance.
stewart claps excitedly for Zeke.
Nachonut bursts into dance.
Pazza questions Nachonut.
[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: zomg, it's a warcraft party!!!! where's my cake!
stewart sings "I belive in a thing called cake"
Zeke believes that the cake is still a lie...
[Guest] [Pdpbedrock]: Where's Pazza
[Guest] [Pdpbedrock]: WIM SUCKS DIE!
[Guest] [Pdpbedrock]: herro?
[Guest] [Pdpbedrock]: WHERE ART THOU LANGONERONI
[Guest] [Pdpbedrock]: ..
[DevTeam] [stewart]: patience is a virtue :-)

Here's my first 2 skins

Note: both of these require WIM 2.3.65 due to changes in the Skin API. If you find yourself with class icons in the wrong place and/or a vertical shortcut bar you're using the wrong version.

Skin 1:

Download
Modelled after Steam friends

Skin 2:

Download
Select the Default skin for the style in the screenshot, or Smart Style for a whole rainbow of windows
This skin needs some translations of the typing... icon, contributions are much appreciated
You may wish to disable the WIM Prat plugin for this skin, to do so type /wim prat

by that meaning, the skins will be in their OWN folder inside the addons folder like all your other mods. They don't go inside the wim folder at all.

A couple problems, though it's not anything that affects functionality. When the window height is set smaller than default and the opacity is turned down you get a horizontal bar in the middle where the images overlap and double the opacity. The other thing is that when text outlines are enabled the input box is unreadable. Refer to the image below for an example.

Like I said, these aren't major issues but perhaps something to look into when making more skins.

nothing i can do about the height box, there is no API method to define minimum height, and the absolute minimum is calculated still with respect to the default skin. The skin does use much larger top and bottom areas than the default skin which is why they overlap, however this is required to make the avatars render correctly

as for the font outline, no idea what to do about it, theres nothing in the api related to it, i just set the font colour

Both issues need to be resolved with WIM itself. I am adding functionality to auto determine best minimum width and heights. I will also remove the highlighting from the message box. It will only display on the edit box. That should resolve both issues.

Thank you.
