Hello.
First I'd like to thank for an awesome addon.
My request is, as it can be read in the subject, an improvement of the interface. What I think would be great, is if instead of letting a window pop up everytime you get a whisper, make a bar with the whisperers name appear, mabye flashing, like the IM-clients do. If you get more whispers, another bar appear with the new whisperers name below the first bar to form a list. Then assigning a hotkey, preferably R, to open up the most recent one, and then TAB to switch between the windows.

I like the idea of a window to show you who has unread messages for you, but the rest you can already do.  In fact, if you hover over the WIM icon it'll show you who has unread messages for you.  There's already a key bind to show unread messages, and the tab key already scrolls through your conversations.

The real question about showing a list of unread messages would be where to put it.

I don't know how well this would work, but one way you could do it is to put just a semitransparent black bar or box somewhere on the screen, then just list the names of people you have new messages from (listing them vertically with spaces between each name, or with each name on a new line).

Since it's not something that has been requested before and everyone may not want it... It sounds like a good idea for a plugin.

How does a plugin work? Do I simpely download one or a couple of files and just add it to my WIM-folder?
Do you think you'll be able to do this? If so, then when? =)

I would be able to do this. When? Can't give you a date yet. I am currently working on a few things at once with both the website in regards to skinning and also fixing some reported bugs and finishing some new things up.

Plugins are designed to link into WIM. They are loaded as seperate addons and are controlled through WIMs options.
