[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: lol i got you
[DevTeam] [Astaldo]: How about "hide email address from public checked" and it's still visible in all my posts...
[DevTeam] [Astaldo]: I'd delete my account on this site, but by the time I realized the problem half the spambots on the planet had it already
[Developer] [Pazza]: Astaldo if you log out and view your profile with a refresh you'll see that your email is hidden.
[Developer] [Pazza]: Your user level on the forums permit you to see emails even though they are marked hidden.
[DevTeam] [Astaldo]: Ah.. thanks for the clarification and apologies for "crying wolf" in that case :
[DevTeam] [Kaidenn]: PAZZA! i miss you.
[DevTeam] [Nachonut]: Lol, it's funny how it takes spam message reports to get me to come back
[DevTeam] [sylvanaar]: Check out the beta tester forum. Need alpha testers and feedback so I can come up with a maintenance plan.
[Developer] [Pazza]: loaded some new spam prevention modules... lets see if this stops the bastards.
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: Thought I'd check in and say Howdy Doody from Australia
[DevTeam] [Maziel]: Yeah the spam from shoes salesmen was becoming insane
[Guest] [Delakando]: What ever happened to the ability to track friend's location by wim? Other then just showing their general zone location.
Zeke pokes his head around the corner.

I realize that the Guild Chat Addon has already been requested, and I think that is a great idea. If implimented, I would probably drop my Blizzard chat windows all together in place of WIM. However, I have a modified request that is different enough to probably require a different thread (at least I thing so).

I would like to see a custom "Group" tab, that is synced via channel name and password. The reason for this? It would allow for things such as Guild Alliances. Doing it this way would also be great for setting up custom IC and OOC channels (for us RPers) each with its own tab...channels that are not bound by the Blizzard defined confines of guild or party.

This would also be generic enough to work for the Guild tab alone, or even the party tab (although you probably would not want to take the time to setup a new party chat window using a custom chat channel and password each time you switch groups). However, I would like to see the allowance for multiple tabs that connect and sync automatically upon login or "turning on" of WIM (depending on preferences).

This is different from Guild or Party chat because it would allow for cross guild, or cross party setups (or just multiple party).

Aside from tying into blizzards chat channels... I do plan on making W2W exclusive chat. Which you can create custom chat rooms but in order for someone to be able to participate, they must be using WIM.

As of now, WIM is not capable of doing such a task... WIM is coded atm to only handle one user. I will have to expand this in the future to accommodate multiple users. and or chat... Please be patient. It will be there... I just can't say when yet. There are other things that I need to work on first. Hope that clears things up for you.

Oh, I definitely understand the necessity for all parties involved to have WIM, or as you say W2W, which I assume means Window to Window. And, I do understand the time it takes to develop software.

Excellent job so far, I have to say that that this is one of my favorite mods and look forward to whatever improvements you make.

W2W is something I introduced to WIM 2.2.x... It is short for WIM to WIM or WIM-2-WIM what have you. It its basically a communication protocol for WIM users.

I am glad you like WIM. When I get comments like that it makes the time I put into it worth it.

Thanks.

I was just looking through and saw this thread.  Doesn't Blizzard already support these types of channels?  You can open up the channel tab and set up custom channels (with optional password) that support voice.  Maybe your idea is different, if it is I must have missed something.

What's being requested really is to take all of that and put it into a WIM window.

Many have requested this functionality and I tried to steer clear of it. But... well I ran out of gas trying to drive around it. WIM will have chat capabilities. I just can't say when yet. I have some other things which I would like to get to first.

Thanks MS, And I will just note here I have read your other threads and welcome to the community. I didn't respond to every thread yet but I have read them. Many of my replies would be the same as other community users'.

That being said, thanks again for your cheers. If I could, I'd throw you a beer :-)
