Stupid Problem

i am having a REALLY stupid problem, for some reason my chatbox doesn't contain my outgoing messages, only incomming messages. this makes keeping track of conversations really hard.

i feel really stupid asking how to enable this as i have spent like 30 mins trying to work it out and really have no idea

This problem is due to a conflict with an older version of the Communication, ChatThrottle and ChatLib libraries. One of your addons are using one of the above libraries which need to be updated. On addon that I know of causing such an issue is DamageMeters. You could always update the associated libraries manually if their authors failed to supply them with their latest packages.

So, it isn't a stupid problem. Never feel ashamed to ask questions.

I have kinda the same problem, though it isn't a problem for my main though with all my alts i can't see my outgoing messeges, this also fucks up my craftlist 2 addon. But how can it be that wim works flawlessly on my main but no outgoing messeges on alts?

Your main is using a different addon profile than your alts are using. meaning there is a particular addon loading on your alts that isn't loading on your main...

Hope that makes sense... But yeah... figure out which addon it is and let me know. I am sure it is because it has an attached outdatted library. I will look into it. I think I might post a library pack that would fix any issues for people having problems.

I don't want to load libraries that WIM doesn't use for everyone... if that makes any sense...

I found the problem and it was kinda something else than you said. My main have TauntWarn activated. Its a addon that tell ppl if taunt is resisted, and if that addon is NOT actived then wim is fucked dunno if u can do anything about it. I think im going to see if it has been updated since its a long time since i updated it.

Could someone please post links to the latest versions of those libraries? I found ChatThrottleLib using WoWAceUpdater, but cannot find the other 2 libraries. Thanks in advance!

Solution:

download Ace2 from http://files.wowace.com and install it like you would any other addon  This will make wow load only the AceComm inside Ace2, since it will be the latest version.  That should fix your problem.
