"No player named 'x' currently playing" spam

Has anyone else noticed these messages:
"No player named 'x' is currently playing."

They only appear when player 'x' logs off after having whispered them at any point in your session.
The more you move, the more often you receive this error message.

I'm kinda suspecting WIM, since I haven't seen it happening until I updated to 3.4.2, and there was a mention of a new W2W protocol... But before I post it as a bug I'd like to check if anyone recognizes this...

This happened to me tonight too. I had been in an instance and had whispered someone in the party who was on another server. When I got out of the instance, I started getting that spam and had to /reloadui to stop it.

Edit: I just had something odd happen which was kind of similar to this. I was in a random dungeon and tried to whisper someone in the group who was from another server, and got the "No player..." message in the WIM window, so I wasn't able to whisper them, even though we were in the same instance together. So, same message, but this time in the WIM window during the instance, instead of in the chat window after the instance.

Edit 2: I've been noticing this same message in the chat window when I enter an instance. Sometimes it only lists one player in the party, sometimes I see the message for multiple players in the party.

It's getting quite annoying, since it's spamming the message for every previously whispered player that went offline. If you keep moving, it repeats the message exactly every 5 seconds.

I found the info below, but I think it's only showing WIM processing the error message, not causing it.

I mainly notice it in instances. As soon as I enter the instance, I get the "No player named" messages for each other player in the group. And then, if I try to whisper someone in the group, I get the message lots of times, and I can't whisper them. I wouldn't mind the message so much if it weren't that I can't talk to people on other servers in instances.

This has started again. It is especially annoying in Battlegrounds, getting at the minimum of three message per person making chat scroll so fast my head spins.
