I've been following this addon for quite some time and recently came back to WoW.
I am very glad to see tabbed messaging available now so I'd like to give this addon a shot. However, I've some questions first.
1) Performance? I run a Mac Pro with stock config (1GB RAM, 7300GT). I run Titan 3.0.7, Auctioneer Complete, Saeris' Lootlink, MapNotes, and Atlas/AtlasLoot. My average UI memory usage peaks at around 45MB. I average about 40 FPS in adverse all conditions (crowded, etc.). Should I expect WIM (2.x and beyond) to make performance take a hit? If so, how big/small? Is there a point that it crosses, from running well, to then taking a performance hit? (example: runs finewith no performance issues with 0-5 messages going but starts getting funky after 6 or more).
2) I really want to rip out the default chat UI/frame. Everything. Gone. I just want an addon to replace it ALL. A pane/tab for guild chat, a pane/tab for whispers (separated by perhaps sub-panes/tabs for guild members, party members, raid members, friends, and "everyone else"), a combat log pane/tab that can be hidden, and a party pane/tab and raid pane/tab. Perhaps the ability to create my own panes/tabs and sub-panes/tabs? Does your addon do anything close to this or reminiscent of these features? Is it intended to be a complete replacement for the default chat frame?
3) Any known issues with any major addons? Anything I can do in the default chat UI, etc. that I cannot do in WIM?
Thanks for your time in advance. I just want to do a full sweep of addons I am currently using and thought to give this one a try now that the tabbed stuff seems to be working well.
