Chat: "Intercept Slash Commands" not working

[Developer] [Pazza]: Your user level on the forums permit you to see emails even though they are marked hidden.

Hi all,
      LOVE WIM and your doing great with it! This small problem has been bugging me for a while now and as I have just lost my WTF folder and been forced to re-setup all of my addon's I am reporting or fixing any bugs I find. I am fairly sure that the "Intercept Slash Commands" from the Chat-Window Behavior" setting page should open the Party window when you type "/p " and the guild window when you type "/g " or "/guild " etc as the same option in the whisper setting DOES open the correct whisper window when you type "/w test " (the space seems to trigger it).

When I type "/g " the guild window doesn't open... :-(

I have tried with a blank WTF folder and JUST WIM installed so I am fairly sure this is an issue. 

If you can't replicate it or need more info please say and I will try to help

i would have to patch up my wow to check it out. but make sure that the options are set accordingly... each chat and whispers have their own rules on behavior including states (resting, combat, etc.). From what I remember it worked fine... bliz might have broken something though. so that is certainly a possibility.

make sure you aren't in combat. if you are in combat you may be noticing wims default "hide chat window" and "show messages in chat frame" options.

I have a similar problem that may or may not be related 

On occasion I cannot whisper myself.
(I do that to link items back to myself among other things)

Rules shouldn't play a part in this situation.

/w OtherPlayerName <- this last space triggers the WIM window to pop up with the focus on editbox for typing my message.
/w MyOwnName <- WIM doesn't show.
/w MyOwnName my test message <- WIM window pops up with red error message "player MyOwnName does not exist".

/run SendChatMessage("my test message","WHISPER",nil,"MyOwnName")
makes the WIM window pop up and 'fixes' the problem.

Something amiss with the hooks? No idea and I can't reproduce it 100%

I have a similar problem.

When I type "/w" name it pops up the WIM window just fine.

When I type "/r", however, it doesn't. Not until I actually send a message that is.
