The WoW patch came out and as many suspected many chat addons went kerplumk! I updated WIM to work with the new patch as well as incorporate the new BattleNet(BN) whisper channel. BN is grouped with normal whispers and should behave exactly the same with the exception that the shortcut buttons 'Invite' and 'Ignore' are disabled. BattleNet Conversations are not supported yet. Conversations is another name for BattleNet channels from what I understand. Take this update for a spin and please provide feedback on the forums as to how it is working.

when u mean bnet convo do mean multiple people or Cross realm or both.
I say both.

If not I cannot use The latest Wim to talk cross realm. It tells me the player is offline.

by convos i mean multiple users. I tested it talking to friends of mine. it behaves just like normal whispers. and seems to be working fine on my end.

Dunno if this is the right place to leave feedback, but when I tried to whisper a Bnet friend on another server, the addon kept spamming me with "This player is not currently online" messages in red. I had to disable the addon before I could whisper him at all.

So its not just me. If this guy above me is having the same problem Cross Realm Chat Does not work for me.  How many Friends Did U Add By Email. and try it with.

I Go to Friends Tab I Click on some 1 Blue Thats On A Diffrent Realm.  It opens a box With His name in it In Blue. But It tells me This User Is Currently Not ONline or w/e In red.

I Tryed to disregard that and see if he was still getting my msg  threw steam but he said no.

I'm having a similar, but different problem - WIM is for some reason blocking out my friend list entirely. Whenever I have WIM installed, I see a message at the top of my friends list that says "Battle.net connection is unavailable." Which is odd, because I still get notifications when an RID friend connects or disconnects through the notifications, I just can't see them at all with my friend list.

I uninstall WIM, my friend list goes back to working fine. I reinstalll WIM, I go back to seeing "Battle.net connection is unavailable" at the top of my friend list. I turn off all my other addons and just leave WIM, it still shows the same error. I absolutely love WIM, I have no idea how I would function without it. I'm in a for a rough few days until that gets fixed. >.<

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed this, but, for some reason I can't link stuff to people with this version of WIM. That includes everything that can be linked.

You don't test this stuff beforehand? Why don't addon authors check PTR and update their addons BEFORE a patch comes out? Seems so obvious?

I guess the fact that I stopped playing the game a year ago yet continue to pay my subscription so i can continue to support this addon isn't enough for you? It's comments like this that make me question my own actions. Your welcome.

Randomly when I whisper cross realm i get the message that the person in no longer online, yet they are on my list. It works most of the time and I'm not sure how to recreate this problem.

alot of addon authors have stopped playing but continue to update there work. they don't need to but they do it to be nice to the wow community.
